Announcing Active Wizard Lite
Active Wizard Lite leverages the power of Adobe Flex and SOA
View a demo of Active Wizard lite!
Active Wizard Lite is based on an Adobe Flex interface and a Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Adobe Flex Interface – allows for a more desktop-application feel and support for all major web browsers. The form is more user-interactive and easier to use.
- Services Oriented – Active Wizard Lite utilizes TSG's OpenContent services to decouple the application logic from the Documentum repository. Currently, AWLite supports a Documentum repository as well as a file system / SQL database repository. Future efforts could enable Alfresco, SharePoint and other CMS repositories.
Currently, Active Wizard Lite implements the ActiveForm module to allow users to fill out forms, similar to the streamline mode of the Active Wizard. AWLite also supports Adobe form integration through the checklist confirmation page. Future efforts will focus on porting over other modules including ActiveWorkflow and ActiveApprove into the Flex interface. For our current clients, there are no changes to the form XML structure, so all of your current forms and form templates will work in AWLite!
