TSG is planning on releasing a Lite version of the Active Wizard based on Adobe Flex and a Services-Oriented Architecture.   TSG is targeting the following key functionality points for AWLIte:

• Adobe Flex Interface – allows for a more desktop-application feel and support all major web browsers.
• Services Oriented – Active Wizard lite will utilize SOA to decouple the application logic from the Documentum repository.  Initial efforts will focus on enabling Documentum as well as a file system (no CMS) version of the Active Wizard.  Future efforts could enable Alfresco and other CMS repositories.

Initially, Active Wizard Lite will implement the ActiveForm module to allow users to fill out forms using the new interface.  Future efforts will focus on porting over other modules including ActiveWorkflow and ActiveApprove into the Flex interface.  For our current clients, we are planning for no changes to the XML structure, so all of your current forms and form templates will still be valid!
