ActiveWorkFlow

To be successful in a dynamic environment, workflow approaches need to evolve past static templates. The Dynamic Workflow Module breaks the traditional template approach and allows for putting together workflow templates on the fly based on a set of system rules. In this manner, no workflow templates actually exist to begin the process but are developed after the rules have been reviewed.

Signature Reduction - Based upon the user's responses to specific questions, the Active Wizard automatically determines signature requirements for initiation of the approval (workflow) process.

Workflow Preview - Initiators have the ability to see who will receive the workflow before the process is initiated. In this manner, initiators can change data points to update workflow as well as add workflow reviewers.

Single Update - Business rules can be updated in one place and applied immediately. With a template approach, certain business rule changes might require updates to multiple templates or even code updates.

Delegation - Rules can be maintained by individual groups. Rather than all changes having to be processed through an administrator updating templates, rules can be processed by separate administrators. In this manner, groups can be responsible for their own work allocation rules, speeding up the cycle of change and update.

Documentum Interface Connectivity – In addition to connectivity to the Dynamic e-forms module, the workflow module can be accessed by Documentum Webtop and Portal interfaces.

Approval Interface – ActiveWorkFlow provides a enhanced approval screen to assist users approve a form and see the form, approval path, previous comments as well as identified documents connected to the form.
